STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, without error, infallible, and authoritative. As such we make it our aim to primarily focus our teaching on studies through whole books of the Bible, seeking to give attention and understanding to each verse in light of the broader context. Believing the Bible to essentially be God's letter to humanity, we seek to understand it, knowing that therein are contained the answers for life. (II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:21, II Peter 1:3)
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is true God and true Man, Jesus allowed Himself to be born of a virgin, taught men how to live through His sinless life, was crucified as [the] a sacrifice for our sins, arose bodily from the dead, was seen by over 500 persons and returned to heaven to prepare a place for us. We believe in the Deity of Christ. (John 2:11, 10:33, I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9, Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-13, Revelation 19:14-16, Revelation 20:4)
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism, present ministry, and daily filling of the Holy Spirit by Whose empowering and indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a life that will please God. (John 10:37-39, Acts 1:8, Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30; Ephesians 5:18)
Humanity
Men and women were created in God’s image. Because Adam and Eve were tempted by Satan and rebelled against God, all people are sinners by nature and are therefore under condemnation. Through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven of our sins, reborn by the Holy Spirit, and we become Children of God. (Gen. 1:27, Rom. 3:11, 23, 6:26, 10:9-10, John 1:12, 2 Cor. 5:17-21; 1 John 3:1-3, 5:11-13)
We also believe that Marriage has been established by God. Therefore, This church recognizes "Christian Marriage" as exclusively the union of one man and one woman. (Gen. 1:27, 5:2, Matt. 19:4-6)

Sin & Salvation
As a result of Rebellion and Disobedience against God, men and women have been separated from Him. In order to make a way for Restoration and Redemption, God sent His Son into the world to be punished in Fallen Humanity’s place. Salvation from Sin and pardon from Eternal Judgment in Hell are made available to all who place their faith in Christ’s Death and Shed Blood, Burial, and Resurrection. It is by Grace through Faith in this work at the Cross on our behalf that a person is Saved and given the sure and certain hope of eternity in Heaven. (John 3:16-19; John 5:24, Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5, I John 1:7-10)
Resurrection
Resurrection of the dead will include both the Saved and the Lost; those who are saved are raised unto the resurrection of life, and those who are lost are raised unto the resurrection of damnation. (Matt. 25:31-46, John 5:28-29, Rev. 20:11-15)
The Church
The Church is the community of the Redeemed, those men and women who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ for Salvation (Ephesians 2:8-10, John 3:16, Matthew 7:21). Calvary Chapel Foothill Ranch is one expression or local gathering of the broader community of God’s people, the Church. (Ephesians 2:19-22, I Corinthians 12:12-13)
Spirituality
When we repent of our sins and confess Jesus as Lord we become Born Again, as a New Creature in Christ Jesus. He then lives in us, teaches us, gifts us and enables us to live godly lives. Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, as a second experience subsequent to regeneration. (Acts 1:4-8, 2 Cor. 5:17-21, John 14:1 - 16:33, Gal. 5:16-25)
We also believe that Water Baptism and Communion for Believers are symbolic elements of Christ's sacrifice that demonstrate our union with Jesus as He spiritually dispenses His grace to all born-again believers. (Matt. 28:19-20, 1 Cor. 11:23-26, 12:13, Gal. 3:27)
